It has been rumored that Kim Kardashian owns Burger King after Kanye West was said to have bought her 10 of their restaurants back in 2014 as a wedding gift.
Kim Kardashian does not own fast-food franchise Burger King, Burger King is in fact owned by parent company, Restaurant Brands International. However, Kim does have a few other businesses of her own.

Who Owns What
Burger King claims to be the second largest fast-food hamburger chain in the world, with over 11 million guests visiting every day. The restaurant was founded in 1953 by James McLamore and David Edgerton, and in 2019 the business made a revenue of over $1.7 billion.
Burger King is now owned by parent organization Restaurant Brands International, an American-Canadian company who also owns American-based fast-food chains Tim Hortons and Popeyes.
Despite not owning Burger King, Kim does have a Sears clothing line called Kardashian Kollection with two of her younger sisters, Kourtney and Khloé, a largely successful beauty line called KKW beauty, and another clothing line that sells “shape enhancing undergarments” called Skims which launched in 2019.
The Kardashian has proven to be an effective entrepreneur, with KKW beauty raking in more than $100 million in revenue in 2018.
Kim and Kanye’s Fast Food Endorsements
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are known to be big fans of fast food. Over the years, the couple have been seen endorsing many big brands within the industry.
Kanye has even been known to name-drop restaurants McDonald’s, Chipotle and Ruby Tuesdays in his songs, and in 2016 the celebrity tweeted, “McDonald’s is my favorite restaurant.” However, earlier on in 2008 West was said to have bought the rights to open 10 Fatburger locations in Chicago.
In addition to this, in 2014 Kanye also reportedly bought his then new wife Kim Kardashian the rights to open 10 new Burger King franchises located across Europe, although, in the end the restaurants never materialized.
Kim Kardashian has also had fast food partnerships with big chains like McDonald’s and Carl’s Jr., what’s more is that Carl’s Jr.’s then-CEO has said that Kris Jenner begged him to put Kim in one of their commercials.

More recently though, back in 2019 Kim can be seen on Instagram holding a Mr. Whippy ice-cream cone, a McDonald’s restaurant in the background, at what appears to be the early hours of the morning. The snap was captioned, “too early for ice-cream?” And once again, Kanye West can be seen sporting his love of fast food on Twitter where Kim posted a picture of him eating a bucket of KFC chicken whilst on a trip to Paris.
Kim’s Favorite Junk Food
In a Snapchat video from 2016, Kim was asked to choose between Chinese food or McDonald’s, a tricky question for a junk food fanatic. “Both and at the same time,” the Kardashian answered. It might come as a surprise to fans that someone with a waist line as small as Kim’s might eat junk food at all. It shocked many to find out that Kim indulges in junk food just as much as the rest of us, and guiltily too.
When asked by The Cut what “regrets smell like” the star replied, “In-n-Out cheese fries and a cheeseburger. Or McDonald’s McGriddles. Maybe more McDonald’s because I don’t really regret when I go to In-n-Out. I’m like, Damn that was good and totally worth it. But with McDonald’s, I go overboard and get everything, and then feel guilty. Or pancakes with syrup… and bacon… it just smells like all of that.”
Despite Kim’s love of junk food and her numerous successful businesses, the television reality star and mother of four does not own Burger King. Although it was said that Kanye West gifted Kim the rights to the openings of 10 Burger Kings across Europe in 2014, it appears that this plan fell through in the end, and the restaurants never appeared.
