Elizabeth ‘Alice’ Wingate Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Elizabeth ‘Alice’ Wingate announces her peaceful passing on the 31st of January 2024, at the comforting embrace of her home. Alice, a devoted and loving soul, leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and cherished memories. Alice was born on July 7th, 1940, to the late William and Margaret Wingate.
She grew up in a close-knit family alongside her siblings, Alan, Lillian, and Phyllis. Throughout her life, Alice radiated love and compassion, earning her the titles of not only a beloved sister but also a cherished aunt to many. A devoted mother, Alice leaves behind her children, Neil and Jane, who were the center of her world. She embraced the role of grandmother with pure joy, and her love extended to her grandchildren, Harry, Grace, and Olivia. Alice also welcomed Alison into the family as a cherished daughter-in-law.
Alice’s life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and unwavering support for those around her. Her nurturing spirit and genuine kindness touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Alice’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, a testament to the enduring impact of a life well-lived. A Funeral Service to celebrate Alice’s life will be held at Thornton Crematorium on Thursday, 22nd February 2024, at 11.15 am.
