He spent his childhood years growing up in Warangal, Telangana.
In 2019, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari was cast as Bheem Naik in the Telugu-language biographical film George Reddy. Based on the life of the student leader of the same name, the film’s lead cast consists of Sandeep Madhav, Muskaan Khubchandani, and Abhay Bethiganti.
He was seen as Anji in the Telugu-language biographical film Mallesham in 2019. The film is based on the life of Chintakindi Mallesham, a weaver and inventor known for his invention of the Lakshmi Asu machine that reduced the manual effort required by weavers in Pochampally.
Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari brought to life the character of Chalapathi in the Telugu-language streaming television series Gods of Dharmapuri (also known as G.O.D) in 2019. The show stars Raj Deepak Shetty, Sruthi Jayan, Satya Dev, and Karthik Rathnam.
He appeared as Muthyalu in the Telugu-language period action thriller film Palasa 1978 in 2020. Set in the 1970s in Palasa, the film stars Rakshith, Nakshatra, and Raghu Kunche.
In 2020, he played the role of Addagutta Mallesh in the Telugu-language romantic drama web series Kotha Poradu.
Alongside Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Sunil, Dhananjaya, and Ajay Ghosh, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari co-starred as Kesava aka Mondelu (Pushpa’s close ally who is associated with him in his every step) in the Telugu-language action drama film Pushpa: The Rise in 2021. The film became the highest-grossing Indian film of 2021 and ranks among the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time.
For his performance in Pushpa: The Rise, he won the award for “Best Supporting Actor – Telugu” at the South Indian International Movie Awards.
Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari made a cameo appearance in the 2022 Telugu-language period romantic action drama film Virata Parvam, starring Sai Pallavi and Rana Daggubati.
Along with Mohana Sree, Vennela Kishore, and Raj Tirandasu, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari co-starred as Sathi (an auto driver who inherits two acres of land) in the Telugu comedy-drama film Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu in 2023.
