“I wasn’t always able to physically be there for my son when he had cancer,” T-Rell said in a statement. “I had to hit the road to cover his hospital bills because the insurance wouldn’t cover his chemo treatments. I ain’t care about a hit single, I ain’t care about cars and material things, my priority was my boy’s life.”
T-Rell made a lot of sacrifices in his career to provide for his son Jordan. The young boy beat cancer but shortly after, the family was stricken with more bad news when doctors discovered a germ cell mass/tumor on his right testicle.
T-Rell Sees Through The 'Fake Smiles'
T-Rell has been documenting his son’s journey back to good health on Instagram as doctors are working to shrink the tumor and remove it altogether. It’s another hard fight for the 13-year-old who T-Rell has called a warrior.
“Letter to Jordan” follows T-Rell’s “I Deserve,” which re-imagined Tank‘s hit, “Maybe I Deserve,” from his album, Force of Nature. The R&B singer invited T-Rell to perform the song on his tour and at the release event for his latest album, R&B Money, in 2022.
