After a long fifteen year wait fans of Canadian superstar Shania Twain will finally have her brand new album ‘Now’ in their hands this Friday. It’s hard to comprehend that many 20-somethings were just little kids aged around 7/8 when Twain’s last studio LP ‘Up!’ dropped back in 2002. Her musical style crosses ages as easily as genres and her fanbase is an eclectic mix of children, teens, young-adults, adults, and pensioners such is her wide appeal.
‘Up!’ is one of if not the best album of our generation and the record sold over 11-million copies and it was the third diamond selling LP in a row for Shania making her the first female artist to do so. The 52-year-old is the biggest selling female country artist of all time, and her ‘Come On Over’ album is the biggest selling record by a female artist in any genre.
And this Friday (September 29th) the queen of country-pop returns with ‘Now’. Her eagerly anticipated new album-her first in well over a decade. So far the singer has given fans a varied taste of what is to come off the record. We’ve had the electro-pop ballad ‘Poor Me’, the classic Shania style song ‘Swingin’ With My Eyes Closed’, the absolutely fantastic ‘We Got Something They Don’t’, and the pop infused ‘Life’s About To Get Good’.
Shania Twain has also teased a number of other tracks including the stunning ‘Soldier’, the toe-tapping ‘More Fun’, the country/pop toe-tapper ‘Home Now’, and the brilliant ‘Roll Me On The River’. Take a listen to all the fantastic ‘Now’ songs that have premiered so far, right here:
