Survivor is one of those shows you either love or you hate. It’s about a group of people who are literally dropped off in the middle of some heinous portion of the world and expected to, you got it, survive on their own without any help from the crew members that sit around and film them as they waste away. For some, it seems like a great way to lose some weight and get into shape for bikini season. For others, it seems like a great way to make some money by winning. For the rest of the world, it seems like a really bad idea that doesn’t look as if it could possibly end well in any way, shape or form. Keith Nale is one of the men who once competed on the show alongside his son Wes. He’s a fire captain from Louisiana and that made him a fan favorite from the start. Everyone loves a life-saving man in a uniform, and that made people want to get to know a little bit more about this Survivor contestant.
He Didn’t Apply
Keith Nale never actually applied to be part of the show. His son applied, and he managed to convince his father to take part in the show with him as a team, and that’s how he became the reality show star he has since become.
He Wasn’t his Son’s First Choice
Keith Nale readily admits that he does not think that his son wanted to pick him at first, since he does have a younger brother that’s much tougher and stronger. However, the show wanted parents and children so he really had no choice. Guess it worked out, though.
Why Did They Do It?
At the end of the day, Wes Nale was someone who loved the show and always wanted to be a part of it. But then when the opportunity knocked on their southern front door, he couldn’t say no. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity that they’d never receive again.
