Sam Bailey dropped her new album “Sing My Heart Out” on Friday. The album boasts 11 songs of different genres. Describing her album to Leicester Mercury, Sam said:

“There are slow songs, ballads, dance tracks, middle of the range and poppy tracks – I call it, ‘Sam Bailey’s Mixed Bag’.”

The 39 year old songstress collaborated with A1’s Ben Adams and Steve Dorff to compose songs for the self-funded album – Bailey is currently an unsigned artist after parting ways with Syco in February 2015.

On August 5th, Sharon Osbourne’s only X Factor winner released her first single “Sing My Heart Out” – the title track of the album. Despite critical acclaim, the track failed to chart.

Having been released 16th September, the album has peaked at 42 on the iTunes UK Chart however, we’re sure it is going to climb the charts once more with Sam’s UK HMV signing tour and a looming appearance on this series of X Factor.

Track List:

  • Sing My Heart Out
  • Echo
  • Don’t Cry For Me
  • Never Again
  • Take It Out On The Dancefloor
  • Forgive & Forget
  • Never Give Up
  • No Greater Love
  • No Tomorrow
  • It Gets Better Everyday
  • Sun Above The Clouds
  • From the diverse range of songs, our favourite is the closing track “Sun Above The Clouds” as Sam’s voice, which has been somewhat modernised since her last album, handles the ballad-like song with careful control and ease despite the long high notes.
